Welcome to Crochet Kitten!

A by-product of being a homeschool family is that you want to make everything educational, and crocheting is no exception. That's why Crochet Kitten is dedicated to teaching the art of crochet, as well as using crochet to teach other concepts. I learned how to crochet from my aunt when I was 12 years old and have been crocheting ever since.

Other than crocheting, I also love belly dance, bible study, creating things in the kitchen, traveling, and relaxing with my family, which consists of my husband Nick and two daughters, Little Lovely (born in 2011) and Bright Eyes (born in 2017).

Those of you who have been reading this blog for some time will remember when it was voiced by our mascot, Selena K, our feral-turned-domestic house cat. Both Crochet Kitten and myself have grown since its early days. Posts are now written in my own voice, but posts from 2007-2015 are written from Selena's perspective (in which I am referred to as "The Animator's Wife").

Happy Crocheting!
