Happy Holidays to ME!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Crocheters are some of the selfless people in the world! I've met so many who have never crocheted anything for themselves because they are always so busy crocheting things for others.

Well we would like to reward your selflessness by offering a very special prize in our holiday giveaway: an 80-yd skein of 100% silk yarn!

Recycled Silk Sari Yarn

This yarn is actually made from the silk remnants from sari factories in India, and is handspun by a women's coop that promotes self-sufficiency in disadvantaged communities.

What would you make with such a lovely yarn? Or would you keep it in your stash for admiring and the occasional petting? We won't judge. Tell us what *you* would do with this yarn in the comments below for a chance to win!

Oh--and one more thing. The winner will also receive a coupon for free shipping at Crochet Kitten's Bazaar (yes, international participants, too!) so that they may order additional skeins (or anything else) if they so choose.

We will announce a winner when The Animator's Wife comes back from vacation on January 6th. Good luck! And happy holidays!

  1. I'm thankful for my godmother who's always there to take care of the crazy ladies in my family. She's also an ol' hippie who can appreciate handmade.

  2. Happy holidays!!!!

I would totally keep the yarn and pet it!! I'd be afraid that I would mess up what ever I tried to make with it so I would just keep it and love =)

  3. I would use it to edge something, just not sure what. Maybe a scarf.

  4. It looks like it would be a nice drawstring on something...a hat, a bag, a hood...and nice and slippery too, to make it easy to use.

  5. I might make a scarf with that, or something equally pretty :)
