This weekend a dear friend of ours said "I do" to the love of her life. It was a beautiful lakeside wedding, and we couldn't think of anything more fitting to wear than Jennifer Hansen's Broomstick Lace Rebel Cardigan.
The pattern is part of Ms. Hansen's Craftsy class, Beyond Basic Broomstick Lace, and the cardigan is actually a sampler piece for different broomstick lace techniques. While we have tutorials for Basic Broomstick Lace here at Crochet Kitten, we highly recommend Ms. Hansen's class if you're looking to take your stitching to the next level. She covers different broomstick lace stitch patterns, shaping in broomstick lace, using broomstick lace as an edging or insert, as well as tips that can benefit any crocheter such as blocking, adjusting patterns to fit your body shape, and chainless foundations.
The neat thing about Craftsy classes is that you can take them at your own pace, so there's no stressing about finishing your homework on time. And even though the lectures are prerecorded, the teacher is available any time you have a question or need help, because the digital age is cool like that. But Jennifer Hansen does such a good job of explaining everything in the lectures, she doesn't leave much room for doubt in what she's asking you to do.
I just have one word to describe broomstick lace after sitting through this Craftsy class:
