Bearded Lady Turban

Happy Halloween!

Did everyone survive Hurricane Sandy? We were worried for a bit there, but our house made it through okay. No power outages, no wind damage--although a black widow spider and brown recluse decided to take shelter from the storm in our basement. Yee-uck! I don't do pest control. I am neither a mouser nor a spider-er. And now The Animator's Wife is paranoid about what may be hiding in her yarn stash down there. How appropriate for Halloween.

I know The Animator's Wife is excited that our neighborhood remained pretty dry, because this is the first year Little Lovely is going trick-or-treating! She's going as the Bearded Lady.

Her dress was handmade by the Goodest Aunt, and of course, the bearded turban was designed and crocheted by The Animator's Wife! She kept seeing those bearded hats all over Pinterest and though, why can't a girl wear a hat like that?

Below is the pattern for our rendition. Enjoy, and Happy Halloween!
