Traveling Kitten

Traveling Kitten, one of my Crochet Kitten minions, bids farewell to Osiris, home, and me as he goes off to see the world. His first destination is yet unknown, but he promises to write and tell us of his adventures.

I’ve been thinking about the world a lot lately, what with all the packages from far-off places The Animator’s Wife has been receiving in the mail. I was born in the wild, but have led a strictly indoor-life since The Animator’s Wife brought me home when I was two months old. I haven’t seen the outside world since, save for the glimpses I get from the bedroom window or sitting on the balcony.

Osiris tells me stories from when he was younger, about places he used to live. He only came here to Virginia a couple of years before I met him. Before that, he spent his life traveling from place to place with The Animator’s Wife (back before she become The Animator’s Wife), until she finally settled down with The Animator two years ago. Oh, how I would love to see the places Osiris has seen! And he said there are even more places beyond where he has been, that one could spend an entire lifetime exploring and still not see all of it.

The only caveat is that it’s all so far away. Did someone say car ride? Or plane? Thanks, but no. I would rather content myself with merely hearing tales of these exotic places from Osiris and Traveling Kitten.

Bon voyage, Traveling Kitten! We eagerly await your tidings.
